Fashion 101 is a card game created with kids ages 8+ in mind, but is fun for all ages—yep, even dads! Don't worry, you don't need to be a fashion aficionado to play... just bring your own sense of style, a little imagination, and a good sense of humor. The game is incredibly easy to learn and play, but it never gets old due to over 24,000,000 possible outfit combinations!
Players
To play in competitive mode, you need between three and five players. The game can also be played cooperatively with two or more players or in solo mode as a fun kids' activity. With five different ways to play, you can easily adapt Fashion 101 to appeal to the ages and preferences of your players!
The Goal
Be the first player to achieve 100 "Style Points" by creating winning outfits (awarded by the Fashion Judge) that best reflect the themes drawn. You can be literal, creative, or quirky in your interpretation—just make sure that you delight the fashion judge!
Game Play
Each player's hand is comprised of Hairstyles, Tops, Bottoms, Shoes, and Accessories. The "Fashion Judge" draws a new theme for each round of play, to serve as inspiration for building outfits, which are then ranked by the judge.
The "Twist"
Alter the trajectory of the game by playing "Fashion Emergency" cards, which enable you to diversify your wardrobe by going on shopping sprees, consigning your clothes, raiding your friends' closets, and bribing the judge!

The Story Behind the Game
Hi, I'm Elsa Brandt, and I live in Seattle, WA. When I was 10 years old, I created a card game called Fashion 101 to play with my family and cousins. I'm 13 now, and when my mom lost her job last year, we decided to work together to turn the game into a reality. I was inspired after reading about a 7-year-old boy named Alex who invented a very successful game called "Taco vs. Burrito," and I figured why can't I do the same? Plus, I'm pretty bored right now with online school!
With the money we raise through Kickstarter, we'll pay off our start-up design and production costs, ship our first batch of games to backers, and hopefully ramp up production from there.
Below is a photo of me, along with a couple photos of the game I first created back in 2017. The game looks a lot different now, but the concept hasn't changed, and I can't wait to share it with you when our Kickstarter campaign launches in April. Thank you for your support!
